About This Book
Yamamura Koji, an animation director, painted in the poem of Kenji Miyazawa, a Japanese children's writer famous for the original film "The Night of the Galaxy" from the animation "Galaxy Express 999." The model of the poem is known as Saito Sojiro, a Christian who lived near Kenji's village. When Christianity was persecuted, he was beaten and despised by the villagers, but remained in his place and took care of his neighbors, and when he left the village, the train station was packed with people who had seen him off.
The calm poem Kenji wrote in his notebook when he began to fight against the disease, a painting depicting nature and the people living in it in a delicate and dynamic image, conveys a touch and echo that is hard to describe in words. From the appearance of those who do not lose in the rain, wind, snow, or summer heat, who are called fools to all and are not praised or hated, we also gain comfort and courage in our weary lives.
