Sociologist Kim Ho-gi and historian Park Tae-kyun shed light on and evaluate 40 controversies that shook modern Korean history from 1945 to 2018. There are three criteria for selecting an argument. The first is the debate on events and discourses that have had a decisive impact on social development. The second is the debate between conservatives and progressives.
