About This DVD
Based on the same manga that inspired the Japanese drama JIN, the 2012 SBS
fusion drama Dr. Jin follows the medical adventures of a modern-day brain
surgeon who time-travels back to the Joseon era! Korean Wave heartthrob Song
Seung Heon (My Princess) stars as the eponymous Dr. Jin along with the
star-studded cast of Park Min Young (City Hunter), JYJ's Kim Jae Joong (Protect
the Boss), Lee Bum Soo (History of the Salaryman), Lee So Yeon (Dong Yi), Jin Yi
Han (Hooray for Love).
Neurosurgeon Jin Hyuk (Song Seung Heon) may be a genius in the field, but his
cold professionalism can also be seen as disregard for human life and emotion.
After his girlfriend falls comatose, a strange force suddenly transports Jin
back 150 years to Joseon times. There, he comes across a young woman (Park Min
Young) who looks likes his girlfriend, the warrior (Kim Jae Joong) who is set on
marrying her, an eccentric royal (Lee Bum Soo), and an endless parade of medical
emergencies for Jin to solve. Using primitive tools and medicine to deal with
everything from brain surgery to cholera outbreak, Jin gradually learn what it
really means to be a doctor.
