About This Book
If we had the ability to control our dreams or visit the past by dreaming, what would happen? Jacque Klein is a 28 year old man. He lost his father, a navigator, to a work accident, when he was only 11 years old. His mother, Caroline, is a renowned neurophysiologist whose research focuses on sleep. From a young age, Caroline teaches Jacque how to control his dreams. She helps him reach the Paradoxical Water Surface, which she believes to be the fifth stage of sleep. She believes that stage can be reached by creating an imaginary pink-sand island in each person’s dream world.
While conducting a secret experiment to unveil the sixth stage, an experiment subject dies. The next day, Caroline disappears. Jacque looks for his mother in his dream but to no avail. One day, he meets his future self, a 48 year old Jacque. He tells the younger Jacque that their mother is alive in Malaysia but in grave danger. Jacques brushes off the dream but after dreaming the same dream for the second time, he ventures into Dream Nation to find his mother.
