About This Book
This book sheds light on the Park Chung-hee era through the 18 years of the Central Intelligence Agency. It is a historical story that delves into the background of Korean politics based on the political maneuvering led by the heads of the Central Intelligence Agency and the head of the Central Intelligence Agency. The "Central Intelligence Agency" of the Park Chung-hee administration sowed seeds for the tragic deaths of eight members of the People's Revolutionary Party, including the Jeongsu Scholarship Association, the Busan Ilbo, MBC management rights, and the Mincheong-ryeon. In that sense, this book is not an old story but reveals the structure and history of our lives today.
Park Chung-hee and Kim Jong-pil, who came to power in a military coup in 1961, followed the example of the Central Intelligence Agency in the United States and established the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Although it was driven by the U.S. government's ideas and recommendations, the operation was completely different. South Korea's Central Intelligence Agency was primarily responsible for monitoring North Korean trends and preventing, suppressing, and cracking down on all actions against the domestic regime. That is not all.
He was in charge of political maneuvering, election rigging, distribution of interests, political fund collection, tailgating, eavesdropping, torture, kidnapping and even the president's female management, which is unimaginable in a democratic rule of law. The managers of Namsan are a persistent tracker for a journalist's life on all these illegal acts committed in the name of serving the president and the regime.
It was a bestseller that sold 520,000 copies when it was published in 1992. It was translated into a must-read by Kang Dam-sa, the largest publishing house in Japan, in 1994, and became a must-read for ambassadors, diplomats, and correspondents who are coming to Korea. For the first time in 20 years, 176 characters have been compiled as social networking dictionaries as of 2012 and included in the appendix at the end of the volume. The comprehensive views on teen incidents and issues in 18 years under the Park Chung-hee administration are also summarized in the text and appendix at the end of the volume.
