Review by Uwe Raum-Deinzer---
At the beginning it seems to be a harmless little love story about the growing
relationship between a female video store owner and an unsuccessfull young pop
musician, but suddenly it becomes a film about obsession because this love is
only one-sided. Lee Mi-Yeon has an outstanding performance as a lonely woman
dreaming of love who believes she now has find the man that fits her. But he
don't love her and hurts her in many ways to stop her loving him.
She became kind of a female stalker who follows his life in obsessive ways. In a
typical Hollywood movie she would be mutating into a murdering monster that must
be destroyed, but this movie is very different. It's a wonderful experience
about a sensitive young woman who is going mad about her great love. In a
brilliant scene the girlfriend of the musician leaves him because she realizes
that the love of Lee Me-Yeons charakter is much more deep than hers.
This is a beautiful "Sad Movie" (it's also the name of the video store) with a
tragic ending that is "happy" in a strange way.
