A once-in-a-lifetime chance comes to former lawyer Malcolm Bannister, who had been at the Frostburg Federal Prison for 5 years. The fifth federal judge in US history had been murdered. As he knows the real culprit, he uses the federal law ‘Rule 35’. In exchange of revealing the criminal, he suggests that he is released into a new life. As soon as he leaves the prison, he starts the new life he’d planned for 5 years in prison.

Malcolm becomes an important witness to the case of the murdered judge. Afterword, he is reborn as Max Reed Baldwin through full-body plastic surgery and is protected by the FBI. However, he is chased by ones close to Quinn Rucker, the man who Malcolm had said was the criminal. The chase reveals his new face, new identity, and even his new home.
