"Senryu" is one of Japan's standard poems and is a short poem with a total of 17 notes ranging from 5-7 to 5-5. "Silver Senryu," which describes the daily lives and grievances of the elderly, is also the name of the annual Senryu contest hosted by the National Fee Silver Town Association since 2001.
