About This DVD
After working mainly in films for the last four years, Kim Joo Hyuk (Terroir)
returns to television in the 2012 MBC period drama Soldier (a.k.a. God of War).
The popular actor stars as Kim Jun, a legendary warrior of the Goryeo era who
rose from slave status to become one of the top officials of Emperor Gojong's
court. Kim Jun started out as a vassal of the Choe clan, a military family whose
power exceeded that of the emperor. Through his uncommon vision, determination,
and courage, he would climb the ranks and eventually surpass even his master,
breaking the Choe clan's iron hold over the court. Inspired by records in the
Annals of the Goryeo Dynasty, the 50-episode series also co-stars Kim Gyu Ri (Poongsan),
Jung Bo Suk (Giant), and Park Sang Min (City Hunter).
